Senior Full Stack Developer - .NET

Job Description

About the position

The Sr. Developer has primary responsibility for the following:

• Working with clients to understand their business problems and be able to propose solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple in-flight projects that have different timelines and may utilize different technologies.
• Ability to work within and manage a source control environment and to be able to mentor new developers in this environment.

 Required Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Strong communication skills in dealing with IT business unit and C-Level leadership.
• Ability to mentor and take responsibility for onshore and offshore team members’ deliverables towards project goals.
• Hands-on experience with development tools and frameworks.
• 5+ years’ experience with the .NET Framework (version 3.5 or higher)
• Solid understanding of ASP.NET MVC, Web API, ADO.NET (Entity Framework)
• 5+ years’ experience developing web-based applications in .NET Framework
• 5+ years’ experience developing and implementing SQL scripts, and stored procedures in SQL Server
• 3+ years’ experience working in a source-controlled environment, such as Git or TFS
• Ability to implement coding best practices and standards
• Solid understanding of best practices with web application design
• Solid ability to understand business value of requirements and prioritize requirements relative to development effort; ability to communicate this prioritization to business units and IT leadership

 Desirable Skills

• 5+ years’ experience with C#
• 3-5 years’ experience with JavaScript
• 2-3 years’ experience with client-side frameworks like Bootstrap or Angular (5 and above)
• Technology modernization through cloud architecture migration experience
• Familiarity with NoSQL systems like MongoDB or Redis
• Deep understanding of Microservices
• Knowledge in 12-factor application architecture
• Solid understanding of various Design Patterns
• Work effort estimation skills
• Understanding of Agile software development principles along with experience participating in agile projects
